Classic Wedding with Elegant Wedding Dress

FILED IN: Weddings

Erica and Ryan are a polished couple, and their Birmingham wedding was classically beautiful. Even though they live in Savannah, they decided to head back to the city where they met to tie the knot. Erica’s elegant wedding dress worked seamlessly with the elevated wedding details. Their ceremony and reception focused on their connection with family and friends. Thanks to their attention to detail, the celebration felt both timeless and unique to their relationship.

Erica’s Elegant Wedding Dress and Details

Erica’s elegant wedding dress set the stage for the entire day. The subtle lace details add texture and interest without distracting from the straightforward. As a wedding photographer, I loved the movement of this dress. It translates so well in candid getting ready photos and portraits.

Every detail Erica chose complimented her elegant wedding dress. The pearls on her heels and beads on her handbag shimmered subtly against the dress’s fabric. Her drop earrings brought an art deco moment to her look with their architectural details. During the church ceremony, Erica’s veil draped from her hair in an elegant arch.

These wedding portraits are romantic and full of emotion. Ryan’s hand on Erica’s waist and the way they smile at each other tell a whole story. In every candid photo, you can feel their joy at starting this chapter of their life.

A Reception Focused on Connection

After their church ceremony, Erica and Ryan chose to have their reception at B&A Warehouse. Located in Birmingham’s Historic Southside, the venue has a warm, welcoming take on an industrial wedding venue. The brick walls and wood beams strung with lights create an inviting atmosphere. B&A Warehouse even has a small stage. It was perfect for the karaoke portion of the night!

One of my favorite parts of this venue was the nooks for portraits. Erica and Ryan posed in a corner surrounded by charming old books, bottles, and candles. These nostalgic portraits look like they could have been taken decades ago or yesterday. Erica’s elegant wedding dress and classic style work well with the venue.

Erica and Ryan made their reception venue their own with curated details that reflected their vision. Their stunning tablescape featured varying shades of blue and white. Candlesticks stood amid lush floral arrangements, making the industrial venue feel like an English garden for dinner.

All of the thoughtful details made it easy for Erica and Ryan to be really present with their guests and each other. Their love for their family and friends was evident everywhere, including the audio guestbook. It’s easy to imagine them years from now listening to their friends’ messages as they look over these pictures with love.
