Do you like the sound of a wedding venue with a view of the Atlanta skyline and champagne at sunset? Me too! The Roof at Ponce City Market is a unique Atlanta wedding venue. It’s a great place to give guests an unforgettable experience. At Taylor and Corey’s Ponce City Market wedding, the love was definitely in the details.
The Ponce City Market Rooftop
The Roof at Ponce City Market is full of surprises. Of course, the skyline is gorgeous. Corey and Taylor chose to have their ceremony where everyone could enjoy the view. There are even full amusement park rides and vintage games! Even though the venue can accommodate a big guest list, an intimate Ponce City Market wedding can be just as fun.
In addition to the amusement park, the venue has been renovated with the neighborhood’s history in mind. The details add character without being distracting. There are lots of opportunities to take romantic portraits with the Atlanta skyline or in the dramatic light of the interior.
Taylor and Corey really thought through every aspect of their wedding day. Generous by nature, they wanted everyone attending to feel seen. They wanted to treat their guests to an incredible experience. The couple chose to have a Ponce City Market wedding for the wow factor. They knew guests would have an incredible time.
The couple also made sure to pick a great team of vendors so they could fully immerse themselves in the day. It made all the difference! Some people are so worried on their wedding day that they forget to have fun. Not Taylor and Corey! They took advantage of being at the Roof at Ponce City Market to get on the rides! I loved that Taylor went down the slide in her wedding dress. It showed how fun-loving the couple is even as they make big romantic gestures for each other.
Love in the Details
Corey’s love language is gift-giving, and it showed at every turn. The couple expressed their love for each other and their guests through details. To accomplish this, Corey and Taylor limited their guest list to about 80 people, so they could make everyone feel cared for.
And what better way to give everyone a memorable experience at a Ponce City Market wedding than champagne during golden hour? After the ceremony, everyone got to sip bubbles as the sun sank over the skyline. I love these portraits of Taylor and Corey. Like them, the golden light is warm, inviting, and classy at the same time.
Corey’s suit showed how intentional he is, too. The custom Tom Ford is based on a suit from a James Bond movie. He looked so dashing standing beside Taylor during their ceremony. The asymmetrical floral installation felt like something out of a fairytale.
Taylor and Corey’s Ponce City Market Wedding
Corey first spotted Taylor on Instagram. He was instantly smitten, and they fell into a loving romance. Their love for each other was palpable throughout their wedding day.
Prior to their wedding, I was lucky enough to photograph Corey’s proposal in 2020. The pandemic ruined his initial plans, but he wasn’t deterred. He took Taylor to the iconic Jackson Street Bridge where someone from The Bachelor franchise made a cameo. Taylor is a big fan of The Bachelor series and was over the moon about it. Needless to say, she said yes.
The couple’s Ponce City Market wedding had a Bachelor connection too! The band that played their reception, Temecula Road, also performed on Season 25 of The Bachelor. This detail made the first dance feel extra special.
